I’m Averlea, a vet nurse, pet sitter, and owner-operator of VetSit – Vet Nurse Pet Sitting.
I have a broad range of experience with animals both large and small including birds. I’m a qualified Veterinary Nurse with a National Certificate in Veterinary Nursing, and I also work casual shifts at a local veterinary clinic.
My husband and I have a little boy who keeps us on our toes! We share our home with 2 senior cats, “the Oscars”. The original Oscar arrived as a rescue kitten 14 years ago and Oscar Senior (17 years old) needed temporary accommodation 2 years ago and has never left! We also share our backyard with 4 raucous chickens – Rosa, Red, Speckle and Lizzy.
For several years, I’ve been a regular volunteer at Orana Wildlife Park, the South Island Wildlife Hospital, and previously the Cats Protection League cattery.
